About Erik Dawson
Background
Hi! My name is Erik, and I am a singer-songwriter born and raised in California. When I was four, I discovered my love of music on the family piano. Since then, I've been making and playing music.
Since 2022, I have performed at various events and venues, including private parties, community events, cafes, and wineries. I have also done my fair share of busking. Instruments
Although I mainly play the guitar, I have also been playing both the piano and the accordion for the past decade. I believe that knowing multiple musical instruments enables me to create more varied and captivating music. If you like, take a moment to listen!
Style
My music is a variation of classic soft rock, jazz, and folk. I enjoy blending different genres into my music.
My music and songwriting style have been influenced by a variety of artists. I take inspiration from jazz, swing, and contemporary soft rock. I also play covers of songs I draw inspiration from, such as the Beatles, Jack Johnson, the Rolling Stones, and the Doobie Brothers.
